I am also a retired educator and recently published author. When I left my teaching career, I began caring for my aging, failing mother. I wrote Tapestry of Love: Caring for an Elder Parent to help other caregivers who undertake this difficult but rewarding journey. I just completed Love You to Heaven and Back which will be released in 2019.
When I approach a book, all my education and experiences come together. When I begin illustrating a new manuscript, the writer in me enjoys that fascinating relationship of words and images. And when the book is released, the teacher in me enjoys classroom visits.
